University of St. Thomas Off-Campus Housing Guide (2026)

St. Thomas requires two years on campus (since fall 2021), so off-campus demand is juniors and seniors.

Where students live

Small apartment buildings clustered at Marshall/Cleveland/Finn on the campus edge, and rented houses and duplexes through Merriam Park and along Grand and Summit Avenues — shared territory with St. Kate's and Macalester students.

The market is conventional and mostly unfurnished; Marshall Suites is one of the few furnished options. UST runs a portal at offcampushousing.stthomas.edu.

What you'll need

Most rentals here are unfurnished — budget for the big anchors: mattress, bed frame, sofa, and a table, split with housemates.
