Ohio State runs 37 residence halls on the Columbus campus but does not publish room dimensions, square footage or bed sizes on its hall pages — so this page covers what Ohio State does publish: the full hall list, room configurations, the Rate I–IV pricing tiers and the live-on rule. All unmarried, full-time students within two years of high school graduation must live on campus unless exempted, so plan on two years in the halls, not one.

Morrill Tower

Morrill is a 23-story tower on west campus at 1900 Cannon Drive, next to the river, the RPAC recreation center and the Traditions at Morrill dining hall, with Ohio Stadium practically next door. Rooms are air-conditioned suites arranged in four-suite clusters, bookable as 1-person (Rate II), 2-person (Rate I) or 4-person (Rate III) configurations, open to both first-year and upper-class students. Amenities include kitchen and laundry facilities in the complex, lounge and study areas, and a suite bathroom rather than a hall bathroom.

Park-Stradley Hall

Park-Stradley is an eleven-story hall on south campus at 120 W. 11th Avenue, near the Jesse Owens South Recreation Center and Traditions at Kennedy dining hall. It offers air-conditioned singles and doubles with semi-private bathrooms, all Rate I, houses the Future Health Professionals living-learning community, and is open to first-year and upper-class students. The building has disability access, a bike room, kitchen and laundry facilities, lounges and study areas.

The 37 Columbus residence halls

Ohio State’s Columbus campus halls range from high-rise towers (Lincoln and Morrill) to smaller houses on north campus. The full list: Archer House, Baker Hall East, Baker Hall West, Barrett House, Blackburn House, Bowen House, Bradley Hall, Busch House, Canfield Hall, Fechko House, German House, Halloran House, Hanley House, Haverfield House, Houck House, Houston House, Lincoln Tower, Mack Hall, Mendoza House, Morrill Tower, Morrison Tower, Neil Building, Norton House, Nosker House, Park-Stradley Hall, Paterson Hall, Pennsylvania Place, Pomerene House, Raney House, Scholars East, Scholars West, Scott House, Siebert Hall, Smith-Steeb Hall, The Residence on Tenth, Torres House and Worthington Building. Each hall page on housing.osu.edu lists its room configurations, rate tiers, amenities and representative floor-plan PDFs. Paterson Hall (Rate II) and Houston House (Rate I) are Ohio State’s gender-inclusive housing environments.

What it costs (2026–27)

Ohio State prices rooms in tiers — Rate I through Rate IV — rather than per hall: each room type on a hall’s page carries a rate tier, and the dollar table lives on the university’s Standard Housing Rates page. For budgeting, Ohio State’s official basic-costs page lists $15,738 for 2026–27 housing and food combined for the most common housing and dining program on the Columbus campus. Housing fees are due with tuition: 18 August 2026 for fall and 4 January 2027 for spring. First-time residents also pay a $300 space reservation fee and a one-time $50 filing fee with the contract.

Dollar amounts per tierThe Standard Housing Rates page
A housing-plus-dining budget figure$15,738 for 2026–27, most common program, Columbus campus

The $15,738 is housing and food together, not a room rate — it includes the meal plan, so do not set it against another school’s room-only figure. The per-tier dollar amounts load dynamically on Ohio State’s rates page and we could not read them on the date checked, so this page does not guess at them.

Bed size: Ohio State does not publish bed or mattress dimensions on its residence hall pages (checked Oct 2026) — measure your mattress at move-in, or ask your hall front desk, before buying sheets or a topper.
