What is actually true at Tennessee
Tennessee runs three different bed sizes and splits one hall by wing, supplies a MicroFridge and bans your own, and publishes rates that have not been approved yet. All three matter before you spend anything.
Bed and bedding
Tennessee runs three different bed sizes across its halls, and Hess Hall is split by wing — two students in the same building can need different sheets. Confirm your hall and your wing before buying bedding.
Fridge and microwave
A MicroFridge is supplied, so personal fridges and microwaves are both banned. This is the single most common wasted purchase at Tennessee.
Cooking appliances
An air fryer may be stored in your room but not used in it — an unusual rule worth knowing before you pack one and assume you can cook with it.

Getting around
The T and KAT are free for students. Tennessee also master-leases an off-campus complex and lists it on the official rate sheet, so some "off-campus" options are billed through the university.
