What is actually true at Utah
Utah has no live-on requirement, one hall type that is not a twin at all, and a housing agreement with a clause almost no other university has.
Bed and bedding
The Lassonde pods are a Full, not a twin of any kind. Everywhere else, Utah does not publish mattress dimensions, so measure on move-in day before ordering sheets.
Living on campus
There is no live-on requirement. Utah is roughly 87% commuter, so living at home or off campus is the norm rather than the exception — and comparing the dorm against a local rental is a real decision here, not a formality.
Fridge and microwave
Utah does not publish a fridge size limit, and says nothing about air conditioning either way. Two questions worth one phone call before you buy.
House rules
Utah is a dry campus. Separately, the housing agreement permits concealed carry with a valid state permit plus one box of ammunition — unusual enough that it is worth knowing what your building allows.
Getting around
The Ed Pass covers transit including commuter rail, so a place further out stays viable without a car.
