Before you buy anything: what is actually true at University of Colorado Colorado Springs

Room size and rugs

Rooms measure about 82 sq ft (Summit Village). At the small end a 4×6 rug is the largest that leaves walking room — measure before ordering anything bigger.

Bed and bedding

Extra-long twin (Twin XL) โ€” frames about 38" wide by 83" long and height-adjustable. Uniform campus-wide, including Alpine Village Apartments, so Twin XL sheets work everywhere.

Fridge and microwave

Bring your own mini-fridge โ€” permitted but not provided in Summit or Alpine Village. Full-size refrigerators are banned. UCCS publishes no cubic-foot or wattage cap and simply tells roommates to coordinate. The Antero, Crestone and Shavano apartments include a full kitchen with a full-size fridge.

Already in your room

Do not pack duplicates of these: Extra-long twin bed with adjustable height, desk and chair (some with a hutch), wardrobe or armoire, a bookcase in most rooms, mini-blinds and a trash can โ€” doubled in shared bedrooms.
