St. Cloud State University Off-Campus Housing Guide (2026)

No live-on requirement — SCSU students rent from year one, mostly in the Southside blocks east of campus.

Where students live

Southside (5th–9th Ave S) directly east of campus is the signature neighborhood, with townhome pockets in SE St. Cloud.

A per-unit budget market run by local landlords — whole 3BR units often cost less than a single bed at a Sun Belt student tower. Many landlords publish little online; calling is normal here.
