University of South Carolina Off-Campus Housing Guide (2026)

Freshmen live on campus; the big off-campus move happens sophomore year.

Where students live

Two clusters: walkable downtown/Vista and Five Points high-rises at premium per-bed rates, and cheaper shuttle-served cottage communities along Bluff Rd near Williams-Brice Stadium.

Premium walkable towers run $800–$1,100+/bed; Bluff Rd cottages run $475–$815/bed. Top properties waitlist by spring — Greene Crossing and Sawyer on Lincoln are already full for 2026–27.
