UC Davis Off-Campus Housing Guide (2026)

No live-on requirement, but most freshmen start in the dorms and move off in year two — into an extremely tight market.

Where students live

West Village (Sol, The Green) is the signature student mega-neighborhood west of campus; Olive Drive/Downtown is the walkable second cluster, all tied together by Unitrans.

Mix of per-bed student housing and per-unit conventional stock; conventional 2BRs run ~$2,400+/unit and popular complexes rent out a year ahead — Aggie Square is already full for 2026–27.
