Quinnipiac University Off-Campus Housing Guide (2026)

Quinnipiac requires three years in university housing, so off-campus living is essentially a senior-year market.

Where students live

Single-family houses rented from local landlords along the Whitney Ave corridor and Mount Carmel in Hamden, plus some seniors in New Haven.

There's no purpose-built private student housing. QU itself offers off-campus options — Whitney Village and university-owned houses, billed through QU housing — and conventional Hamden complexes absorb the rest.

What you'll need

Landlord houses are usually unfurnished (big anchors: mattress, sofa, table); QU-affiliated options come furnished — check yours, then use the matching filter.
